We are located on a working Sheep & Beef farm in the hills high above Oxford. However, you will be close to the Oxford township with cafes, retail shops, a supermarket, parks, a weekend farmers market, and more. Also only a few kilometres from the Ashley Gorge reserve, with bushwalks and picnic areas beside a stunning river.
Either sit back and relax by enjoying the great views stretching all the way across the plains to the Port Hills, or get adventurous and explore the farm tracks and access even better views.

The Hill House is a small, private house purpose built to suit the spot it is located on the hills above Oxford. It is 2km into a working sheep and beef farm, with superb, uninterrupted views across the Canterbury Plains and the night sky. There is the opportunity to walk along tracks through the farm, over ridge lines and for the experienced trampers, a hidden waterfall. This accomodation is also close to the Oxford township and only 45min from Christchurch, making it the perfect weekend escape for those living in the city.

The Hill House is so close to Christchurch, yet feels like you are worlds away. Perfect for couples needing a weekend away, or a few friends getting together to catch up and relax. Kids are welcome and there is space for a tent outside for no extra charge.
This property is in a great location - high on the hill with views across the Canterbury plains. There are even better views from the top of the hill which is a short (steep) walk away. The woodburner made it cosy for our mid-winter stay and we had a very quiet and peaceful night with a glorious sunrise. It's only a few minutes drive into Oxford for shopping, takeaways or dining.

This property is in a great location - high on the hill with views across the Canterbury plains. There are even better views from the top of the hill which is a short (steep) walk away. The woodburner made it cosy for our mid-winter stay and we had a very quiet and peaceful night with a glorious sunrise. It's only a few minutes drive into Oxford for shopping, takeaways or dining.
