The Fishers Track cycleway passes the gate, as does the Te Araroa Trail. The Retaruke River provides trout fishing, with both brown and rainbow in good numbers.

About your host, Ruth
Hi, my name is Ruth Abernethy. I am married to Miles, and we have four sons, two of whom still live at home. We live at Papaiti Station part time, as we also have farming interests in Taihape. We absolutely love our Kaitieke farm, it always feels like a holiday when we are here, which is tricky given we still need to get the work done. We have a permanent farm worker on site who takes care of the day to day running of the farm.
Papaiti is a really special place, and I look forward to welcoming guests here so they too can experience the serenity and all that Papaiti has to offer.
