A 50 acre peninsular with three islands in the Whanganui River, our place is a magnet as the 40 people who come every year will testify. Swimming, fishing, peace and space are a winning combination.
Imagine pitching your tent here, in your own private space, listening to the flowing water and maybe taking a dip or just sitting around the fire watching the sunset.
You may go from one side of the farm to the other and float back to camp, this takes about 20 minutes and is very relaxing.

Small kitchen with all you need in cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery etc. Tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil salt and pepper provided. All dishes are done for you (I prefer for them all to go through the dishwasher) twice daily.

1 Queen bed, 1 king single and a single bed can fit a stretcher in as well if needed to sleep 5. Tent option for another 2 people may be available.

Our stay at Soothing Riverside was absolutely perfect, can not fault it at all. We were so happy with the accommodation and amenities provided.
The property is set next to a beautiful river, total peace and quiet, just what our family needed.
Close to Taumaranui for supermarket etc and close to National Park/Mountain for adventures.
Suzanne and her husband were very welcoming, helpful and friendly, we miss them already!!!
We can not wait to rebook to come back and stay.

Just love this spot. Beautiful river! Lovely hosts. What a gem to have had the opportunity to stay here. Highly recommend it. Hot gas shower, flush long drop on-site was a bonus!

We have lived on this property for 25 years and raised our children here, we are downsizing the farm work and enjoying welcoming more people onto our property instead. We travel a lot but our heart is here.
